Together.
Insort and Qcify Are Joining Forces
As of 15 September 2026, Insort and Qcify are led by one CEO, Pieter Ieven. In Graz and Herentals, our teams have come together to build one organisation from two companies that, until recently, mostly knew each other as competitors.
One leadership, two trusted names
Pieter has been part of Qcify since the beginning. He built the AI models behind our sorting systems before taking on the CEO role. Bringing Insort and Qcify under one leadership is a deliberate step to bring our two companies closer together, with a stronger combined position in the markets we both serve.
For our customers, both names stay exactly as you know them. Nothing changes in how you order, how you get serviced, or who picks up the phone. What changes is what sits behind those names.
The full spectrum, under one roof
Insort’s hyperspectral technology, CIT®, has been one of the foundations of this business from day one. It detects composition and quality that a standard camera simply cannot see, and it remains central to our ongoing investment.
Paired with Qcify’s proven AI models and RGB-based sorting, we now cover the full spectrum of what modern sorting requires, from intake to final quality. One roof instead of two.
Why now
The timing reflects real market movement. The optical sorting market is growing fast, from around $3.4 billion in 2025 toward an estimated $5.8 billion by 2031, roughly 9% a year.
At the same time:
- Food production is shifting to where demand is.
- Competition from new entrants is intensifying.
- Processors everywhere are under pressure to cut waste and protect yield on tighter margins.
Hyperspectral and AI-based sorting solve exactly that problem, and it isn’t going away. Two companies solving pieces of it separately made less sense than one team solving it together, with the depth to keep pace.
Let’s talk
Our leadership team is happy to discuss what this means for you, whether you’re a customer, a partner, or simply following along.
To everyone in Graz, Turlock, Elche and Herentals who has been building this team: thank you. There’s real momentum here, and this is just the beginning.
